Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems ensuring smooth clinic operations and compliance with healthcare regulations. Prior experience in medical office or clinic environments is highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally at the front desk, managing multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette
- Schedule patient appointments using the EMR system
- Collect patient information and update medical records while maintaining strict adherence to regulations
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including intake procedures and documentation review
- Assist with billing procedures, including medical collection efforts
- Handle patient inquiries regarding appointments, billing, and health information management
- Maintain filing systems for medical records and ensure proper documentation review
- Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry and document organization
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure seamless clinic operations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities
- Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and multi-line phone system operation efficiently
- Attention to detail in documentation review and accuracy in medical administrative support tasks
