Learn how to protect yourself this season from ticks and lyme disease by following these simple steps, wear light coloured clothing so ticks are easier to see, wear pants instead of shorts when hiking, stay out of long grass or overgrown, bushy areas, stay in the middle of the hiking trails and use insect repellent. Many Home Support Services are low cost or free, as they are funded in part by the South West London Health Integration Network, Ontario Seniors’ Secretariat and Ministry of Health.

The Community Wellness Program, provided by the St. Marys Friendship Centre, offers resources and services to help people cope with the challenges of living through the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The City of Stratford Social Services Department is the provincially-designated Consolidated Municipal Service Manager (CMSM or ‘Service Manager’) responsible for administering social services in the City of Stratford, Perth County, and the Town of St. Marys. This department helps those who need assistance with accessing income, housing, homelessness services, and childcare supports.

A transportation service shared by Community Support agencies across Huron and Perth counties. By teaming up and sharing our vehicles and drivers we are able to offer frequent and flexible service.
The service provides accessible and volunteer transportation to medical appointments, adult day programs, social excursions, and local errands. Services are available for seniors, individuals recovering from illness or injury and those with varying abilities.
Door-to-door service is available 7 days a week and booking hours are: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PC Connect is your fully accessible community transit system. PC Connect offers five bus routes that travel throughout Perth County and surrounding areas including Stratford, St. Marys, Kitchener/Waterloo and London. Operating Monday to Saturday, you can use the public bus service to get to where you need to go, such as work, healthcare appointments, shopping, or social and recreational activities.

If an individual is in need of emotional support, they can call The Support Line. The Support Line’s highly trained volunteers offer confidential supportive listening 24/7. For drop in support, individuals over the age of 16 can visit 648 Huron Street, London- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Reach Out is a bilingual 24/7 information, support and crisis service for people with mental health or addiction concerns living in Elgin, Oxford, Middlesex or London.
BouceBack is a free skill-building program managed by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). It is designed to help adults and youth 15+ manage low mood, mild to moderate depression and anxiety, stress or worry. Delivered over the phone with a coach and through online videos, you will get access to tools that will support you on your path to mental wellness.
Togetherall is a digital mental health support service for individuals ages 16+ which is available online, 24/7, and is completely anonymous so you can express yourself freely and openly. Professionally trained Wall Guides monitor the community to ensure the safety and anonymity of all members. In addition to Togetherall’s online community, you will have access to a wealth of useful resources.
